    errorString tip issue - (Bug)

      I have what I believe to be three separate bugs with the tip associated with errorString. They all have to do with where the mouse is positioned when the errorString is set. I have included a piece of sample code which illustrates the problem.

      This is different than the border color issue reported earlier.

      Is this the proper place to report such problems?

      <?xml version="1.0"?>
      <mx:Application xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">

      <mx:Script>
      <![CDATA[
      [Bindable]
      private var wDesc:String = "Using these buttons, things aren't quite right: " + "\n\n" + "1) Pressing Set Error without moving mouse off of button yields no tip." + "\n\n" + "2) Pressing Clear Error while tip is up leaves tip stranded until time out." + "\n\n" + "3) Pressing Set Error again requires the mouse to move out and back into the panel before tip displays.";

      private function handleSetError():void {
      wCanvas.errorString = "Error now";
      }
      private function handleClearError():void {
      wCanvas.errorString = null;
      }

      ]]>
      </mx:Script>
      <mx:VBox>
      <mx:Panel id="wCanvas" width="400" height="400">
      <mx:VBox width="100%" height="100%">
      <mx:HBox>
      <mx:Button label="Set Error" click="{handleSetError()}" />
      <mx:Button label="Clear Error" click="{handleClearError()}" />
      </mx:HBox>
      <mx:TextArea text="{wDesc}" width="100%" height="100%" />
      </mx:VBox>
      </mx:Panel>
      <mx:HBox>
      <mx:Button label="Set Error" click="{handleSetError()}" />
      <mx:Button label="Clear Error" click="{handleClearError()}" />
      </mx:HBox>
      <mx:Label text="Using these buttons, errorString works as expected, because of mouse being outside of Panel control." />

      </mx:VBox>
      </mx:Application>
