    Why Form WAI warnings?

    Level 7
      Why do I get these WAI warnings for my form:

      Warning - One or more Anchor, AREA, BUTTON, INPUT, OBJECT, SELECT and
      TEXTAREA elements do not use the 'tabindex' attribute.
      Warning - One or more Anchor, AREA, BUTTON, INPUT, LABEL, LEGEND, and
      TEXTAREA elements do not use the 'accesskey' attribute.

      <form action="/2006/form/results.asp" method="post">
      <p><span class="underline">U</span>nderlined letters are accesskeys. <span
      class="required">Bold</span> fields are Required!</p>
      <p> </p>
      <fieldset><legend>General Inquiries</legend>
      <input name="_recipients" type="hidden" value="info@petcaregroup.com" />
      <input name="_replyToField" type="hidden" value="email" />
      <input name="_subject" type="hidden" value="General
      Inquiry" />
      <input name="_requiredFields" type="hidden"
      value="name, email" />
      <label for="name" accesskey="n" class="required"><strong>Name</strong>:
      </label>
      <input name="name" type="text" tabindex="1" id="name" size="35" /><br />
      <label for="phone" accesskey="p">Phone Number: </label>
      <input name="phone" type="text" id="phone" tabindex="2" size="35" /><br />
      <label for="email" accesskey="e" class="required"><strong>Email Address:
      </strong></label>
      <input name="email" type="text" id="email" tabindex="3" size="35" /><br />
      <label for="subject" accesskey="s">Subject: </label>
      <select name="Subject" id="subject" tabindex="4">
      <option selected="selected">Select a
      Subject</option>
      <option>Question</option>
      <option>Comment</option>
      <option>Employment</option>
      <option>Preferred Partners</option>
      <option>Pet Profiles</option>
      <option>Local Events</option>
      <option>Chinese Cresteds</option>
      <option>Guestbook Comments</option>
      </select><br />
      <label for="message" accesskey="m">Message: </label>
      <textarea name="message" cols="45" rows="6" id="message"
      tabindex="5"></textarea>
      <p> </p>
      <p>Uncheck this box if you don't want to receive PetCare Group news,
      specials or other related emails. We do not sell email addresses of our
      valued customers and potential customers.</p>
      <label for="optin" accesskey="o">Opt-in</label>
      <input name="I want to receive monthly emails" type="checkbox" id="optin"
      tabindex="6" checked="checked" />
      <p> </p>
      <input type="submit" id="submit" tabindex="7" value=" Send " />
      </fieldset>
      </form>

      Also, why doesn't the first letter load correctly? Each first letter are
      supposed to be underlined, but when the page loads, it doesn't. If you hit
      refresh, then they all do.

      Thanks!

      Dan

              Warnings are only warnings. They are not errors.

              I can't imagine giving a hidden field a tabindex, but try it and see if the
              warning goes away.

                Level 7
                Ok. Thanks. It was just bugging me. You shouldn't need a tabindex in
                hidden field...kind of against...hidden..no?

                Anyway, I'll just ignore it.

                Thanks!
