    Re-sizing photos in FW....quality loss

    Sammie8
      Hi All.

At the moment I'm messing around with the design of a new web-page in FW.

I have a hi-res photo i want to use as part of the design.

What's annoying is that when i re-size it, quality is lost. So, if later in the design process, i want to make it bigger again, i've lost quality from the original.

Is there a setting in FW whereby you can tell FW to keep all the quality so that later on you can return to the original size without loss of quality?......or maybe there's a work-around?.......or do i need to just get used to it?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

If you make a Symbol out of the image you can resize back and forth to
your hearts content and not loose detail. Otherwise you will loose
detail in Fireworks or any other graphic program when you make the image
          bigger again.

This link at Adobe will explain it for you.

I use the File > Image Preview and set my Optimize settings and then Export
to where ever I want it. The original image is not affected in any way by
            this method.

Thank-you very much........converting it to a symbol is the solution!
