    newbie question related to lists

      my goal is to make multiple sprites change their member

      i typed this in the initialization behavior:

      e = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
      f = [7, 8, 9, 10, 11]
      g = [12,13,14,15] etc

      i have about 70 sprites w/ spritenum for example 1 - 70

      i want to make a behavior where i want to change the sprite member of all the sprites with spritenum the same as e, the same as both e and f, or e f and g. etc

      so i try to attach a behavior to the 70 sprites that goes something like:

      if item 1 to 5 of e contains the spritenum of me then
      change the member... etc.. etc..

      but it doesnt work

      i try something like

      if the integer of item 1 to 10 of e contains the spritenum of me then ...

      but 'integer of item 1 to 10' only returns the first integer if i test it in the message window

      any help is greatly appreciated. i'm taking a course on director but i only get to see my teacher once a week
