    http/https communication

    the real POTMO Level 1
      My problem is.
I Want to load a shockwave movie via the http protocol and communicate with a server via https.
This will generate an Security Alert and thats something i dont want.

If i load the shockwave movie from https. (https://site.com/shock.dcr) and communicate with an cgi on https (https://site.com/cgi.php?a=1) the shockwave will not be cashed but no security alert will pop up.

So the question is really how do i communicate with and https server from my http shockwave without any security popups?

Perhaps you could create a pass-through php script on the http server. Your dcr could call the php script, and the php script calls the 2nd php script on the https server. I have used this method before to call scripts on remote servers while avoiding the security popup (although not specifically with https).

          hope this helps,

            Thanks for your reply.
I Can access the CGI on http or https if I want but i want the security of HTTPS
(Money transactions) and i lose that if i use HTTP.
