I'm using Fireworks CS5 and trying to get to understand the export CSS and images part.
I have a yellow, rectangular graphic with a drop shadow. On top of it I have some type. I have successfully exported the graphic, having turned off the visibility of the type. No problems there. I then turned on the visibility of the text and exported and understandably it converted the yellow, rectangular graphic and text into one graphic and exported it correctly.
In this case how do I export text? Or can't I? Do I need to export the graphic only and then add the text in Dreamweaver?
I've watched and read a fair few tutorials but they all seem to have their text over plain backgrounds, not graphics.
You can export a slice area as an image or HTML from Fireworks, but not both. You'll need to export text imbedded in the image, or add the text as HTML text in Deamweaver.
