I recently aquired a Canon 5d and imported footage into premiere pro CS5 for the first time last night. While doing so I noticed the clips appear to be sped up when I play them back. I imported using the 1080 DSLR 23.94fps preset and the footage was shot on the 5d at 1080p 23.94fps.
Am I doing something wrong while importing the footage or am I simply not shooting the video with the correct settings?
Thanks in advance guys.
I am relatively new to Premiere too, but hope this helps?
In the project window, select the clip > right click > interpret footage > check fps rate, you also have the option there of slowing down or speeding up 5d footage, say 60p down to 30p.
Good luck =)
Hi Kacey, congrats on the 5d mark ii and choosing adobe premiere pro to edit it!
I'm new to this process too. But importing natively is SO much better than using FCP.
Not sure of the answer, but I wanted to check in and say hello.
