It all depends.
Where did the audio come from? Which hard drive is it on?
Is the entire video's audio screwed up or just this clip?
Have you manually gone to Windows Update and ensured you have even the non-critical updates? (Often there's an update for RealTek or whatever audio drivers you have.)
Welcome to the forum.
Is this Clip perhaps an MP3?
It was an .avi clip. The .prel file is on the computer's internal hard drive. At first, only this audio clip was affected, but now the problem is jumping to other audio clips. I'll try the windows update, although I think those have all been installed. Any help you can give would be appreciated!
No, it was an .avi import.
Have you manually checked Windows Update per my first post?
Have you downloaded this update?
99.5% of the time, when something used to work and suddenly doesn't, it's an outdated driver.
