    import plug-in presets

    dhishok Level 1

      Hi Everyone,

We have two set of plug-ins. However, we need to import these plug-in preset into InDesign CS4 and activate the same.

I have not find any method or property to configure plug-ins.

Can anyone look into this to get this done.

      Thanks in advance

Your question is too vague. What do you mean "configure"? What's a plugin "preset"?

Perhaps you should refer to getting-started.pdf in the SDK? It notes you can create

          C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version #.#\<locale>\PlugInConfig.txt

          or ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/Version #.#/<locale>/PlugInConfig.txt

          of the form:

          =Path
          "C:\my\plugin\path"

          or

          =Path
          "Macintosh HD:Path:to:plugins"

          respectively for Windows or Mac.

Thinking about it some more, I guess you're referring to InDesign > Configure Plug-ins...? I had forgotten about that because it's gone in CS5, sorry... I do not believe it is scriptable.

Amusingly enough, though, it appears to merely write to the PlugInConfig.txt file to maintain the current set of plugins. I'm not sure how it tracks the switchable sets (presets?) though -- looks like those get stored in InDesign Defauts, which is not a plain text file.

              Hi John,

Thanks for your comments. I need to switch those plug-in sets (presets) in InDesign according to the job.

But manually we can do it by click into InDesign>Configure Plug-ins.

In that window we have to choose the plug-in sets(preset).

I need to do this through script.

              Thanks in advance
