This is directly from Adobe Support KB
Basically, uninstall, reboot, reinstall the newer version.
One or more of your registry keys is honked.
If the regular Add / Remove programs doesn't remove all of it, use msicuu2.exe you can download it from Microsoft.
This will remove all Adobe entries and registry keys. Then just do a fresh install.
I went to Microsoft.com and cannot find: msicuu2.exe
My OS is XP...how do I fine the file?
Thank you & SORRY for my confusion. I have installed msicuu2.exe on my PC...NOW what do I do?
When I click on it, it proceeds to UNINSTALL the msicuu2.exe program. How do I get it to uninstall the reader 9 program?
Did you double click it to run?
Did it start the uninstall wizard?
If it did, didn't you get a box with a list of programs in it?
Once you do, click what you want to uninstall, and go.
Did you double click it to run?...YES
Did it start the uninstall wizard?...NO, it starts to UNINSTALL the program
If it did, didn't you get a box with a list of programs in it?...NO
Once you do, click what you want to uninstall, and go....I GET NOTHING! When I click RUN it tries to UNINSTALL the program
When was the last time you did a malware and viruse scan, with up to date DAT files?
If that copy of msicuu2 isn't working, I suggest you delete it, and do a Google search to find another.
