By "playhead" I suspect you mean the Current-time Indicator (CTI), which is where it will start from when you press play (or spacebar). If so, the page up and page down will move the CTI to the previous/next clip, and the Home key will position it at the beginning of the first clip.
You can also use the mouse to click similar buttons below the monitor window to the left and right of the play button. There used to be a button to return to the beginning of the movie but someone thought we didn't need it anymore.
Hope that helps!
Wow, thanks so much for the great answer Bob! Do you know where I can find a link, or book page number to Steve's book where I can find that and similar basic information?
At the end of my book you'll find a list of keyboard shortcuts.
You can quickly jump to the beginning of your project by pressing the Home key or to the end by pressing the End key.
You can jump from the beginning of each clip to each clip by pressing Page Up or Page Down.
Will that help you out?
Thanks for supporting the book!
The book that I have is Muvipix.com Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 9. I am looking but I don't see any shortcuts in the back. Now I really feel like a dunce!
Great book, looks like it would take a long time to write something like that!
The keyboard shortcuts in that book are on pages 359-360 -- as listed in the index, Stan.
Thank you Steve!
