The only way that would work is if I did a mask around the video file.
Let me give you an example of what I am trying to do.
My project is 640x360
The main source video file is 640x300
So there is black area automatically above and below the video file on the timeline. In Vegas... you can go to the "Track Motion" controls and place a glow around outer parts of the video for that track. In track motion you can apply a 2D Glow, 2D shadow and even move around like pan and scan the video track.
So is there some way in Premiere to do the same thing? I applied the alpha glow but it relies on an existing mask to a video. Do I have to create a mask on the border of the video file EVERYTIME I do this?
nevermind... I discovered my error... in this..
the source video file had black bars on the top and bottom and I couldn't see the glow effect until I used the crop effect.
