    Security.loadPolicyFile Paramater question

    PastaPrimavera Level 1

      I am using flex in a rather unique situation.  I am using it in an embdedded device server.  I have been sucessful in taking care of the security policy issue before on the older sytem. I have moved to a new embedded platform and i cannout do it in the same way that i have done it before.

      On the new system, I have sucessfully used this on the new platform.

      Security.loadPolicyFile("xmlsocket://192.168.0.10:2000");

      The above works just fine, however, i cannot have a fixed IP in there as this will change from device to device. Is there any way i can change it so that it does this from the IP its getting the page from ?

      For example, when i use xml_s.connect(null, nbPort);  I use the null statment in there and this releases me from having

      xml_s.connect("192.168.0.10", nbPort);  I have tried this with the Security.loadPolicyFile statement, but no luck.

      Any ideas ?

      I have also tried placing acrossdomain.xml with the included in there and then placing that file in the root directory on the device but no luck with that working.

      <?xml version="1.0"?>
      <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM "http://www.adobe.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
      <cross-domain-policy>
      <site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="all"/>
      <allow-access-from domain="*" to-ports="*" secure="false"/>
      <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*"  secure="false"/>
      </cross-domain-policy>

      Security.loadPolicyFile("192.168.0.10/crossdomain.xml");
