I’m unable to paste the source code for the scripts into RoboHep without losing all of the color-coded formatting. This is fairly crucial for our target audience, who would of course be familiar with the colour coding for the scripting language we use in our product. This has resulted in having to create an image each time I need to insert an example code snippet in a RH topic. As you can imagine, this is quite time-consuming and for the most part, unproductive. Question: Is there a way to keep the color coding or is there a workaround.
I use http://alexgorbatchev.com/SyntaxHighlighter/ for syntax highlighting. You can also easily create syntax highlighting for your own language. There are good instructions on the site, but there are a two things to note:
1. RoboHelp does not support multiple css for one topic. This is required for the script. I added @import statements to the main style sheet to load the style sheets required by the script.
2. Adding the syntax highlighting by using the script tags gave me some trouble. I've since used pre tags.
