Oww! Well, we've had fun over the years ... 't Was always a pleasure to see his posts pop up, assuring everyone All Was Well on the Scripting front.
(I can see why he's heading that way, though. Onwards, forever!)
It's difficult to imagine what the state of InDesign scripting and this forum would be without Ole's contributions.
I'm pretty sure he won't be a stranger, though. ;0)
We all have been educated and inspired by your contributions on these forums.
I hope your new position will be both rewarding and challenging!
Knowing the nature of the work at Silicon Publishing, I think (hope) we may even hear from him a bit more.
I've found Olav Kvern's sample scripts unbelievably helpful in the past, and I expect I will continue to find them very helpful for a long time to come. Those sample scripts exemplify "teaching by example".
I do hope his new position involves some sort of teaching -- he's a natural!
With warmest best wishes,
You guys are the greatest.
I'll be around--maybe more often than I have been able to be for the last year or two. I realized that I'd rather be *using* the great tools that Adobe Developer Technologies has been creating, rather than helping to build them. Why should outside developers have all the fun?:-)
It's been great working with all of you as an Adobe employee--I look forward to continuing our relationship(s) in a slightly different role.
Thanks for all the support you've given over the years and wish you all the best for the new position.
All the best!
Congratulations, Ole! I hope you'll really enjoy your new gig. And that's great news for us that you'll still be hanging around here. Thanks for all your help!
Hi Ole Kvern,

You will be a huge loss to Adobe, it was always satisfying knowing that the much of the documentation I have read from Adobe related to Scripting was written by a man who has personally helped me along my way.
All the best for the future, you are a great guy!
