In Flash Catalyst, the name you give the component is it's id. One of the nice features in 'Panini' is it forces you to name your components, so you hopefully don't wind up with Button1, Button2.
uhm, I don't know what you called Panini is ?
I also don't know how to set the nam in Catalyst too ?
Where could I find it ?
I have gone through my button property to figure out where it's named.
Please give me more instruction.
'Panini' is the name of the preview release of the next version of Flash Catalyst. It is available from labs.adobe.com as a free download.
I misspoke about the name issue. I was thinking of the component creation naming, when creating a new component into the library.
Think you are going to have to allow for sometime in Flash Builder to add/modify the ids.
The problem is my catalyst project will be edited sometime.
In catalyst I have a button with generated id is: "button01"
so when I import it to Flash Builder I will rename to "m_btnEx"
and everything work fine.
After that I will add some codes to process the bussiness.
I will be used m_btnEx a lot.
Then now if I modify my catalyst project, I will be confuse with button01 and m_btnEx .
As you said " when creating a new component into the library"
If I rename in library, it's just the name of component (example : "com_myextension.mxml")
You also don't find away to specify the item id ?
