It's the same.
Do you need help with the script or with creating the template?
I need help with both, can you help?
I don't think so. In Adobe Acrobat 8, you can go to Advance,Document Processing, Page Templates. In Adobe Acrobat 8, it doesn't have a Page Templates in the Advanced Document Processing. So there has to be another way of creating a template and then making it spawn.
I thought you meant through a script, where it's the same.
Can you tell me the script for spawning? The one I have doesn't work.
After you get the Template object, you call its spawn() method. See the
reference for more info.
This is the script that I tried to use to spawn a new page from a template.
var oPage = this.pageNum;
var a = this.getTemplate("newPage"); //newPage is the template name
//move to the next page after spawning a new page
//delete unnecessary buttons from the previous page
this.removeField("P" + oPage + ".newPage.signaturePrompt");
this.removeField("P" + oPage + ".newPage.newPage");
This script didn't work, and I still haven't figured out how to convert a form to a template in Adobe 8. Iit's kind of frustrating)
Check the console for errors. First problem I see is that you're specifying
a non-existing page number as nPage.
I don't have Acrobat 8, but in version 7 it's under: Advanced > Forms > Page Templates
so it may be something similar in 8.
- Forms > Edit Form in Acrobat
- Forms > Page Templates...
