    Preset Transitions?

    Toomany3 Level 1

This isn't possible, right?  I hope I'm wrong.

I have two presets I'm using to make a transition.  One goes on the end of clip A, the other on the beginning of clip B.  Then once those two are applied to each (2) clips, I apply a cross dissolve on top of it all--making it a 3 step process.

Is there a way to create preset transitions that kill all this with just one stone?

So will you doing cross dissolve on that transition that you posted screen shots of recently?

          That sounds interesting.

If you could post a few screen shots or a link to a clip showing how it turns out, I'd love to see it!

            Hey Matt,

Here's a tutorial I did on it:  http://vimeo.com/21820106 .  The resolution is bad, so I'm going to rerender it sometime later, but you can check it out there.

It would be GREAT if I could do this in 1 step instead of 3.  Currently it's:

            1. Apply preset on left clip
            2. Apply preset on right clip
            3. Apply standard cross dissolve over both

If someone knows how to do custom transitions, I'd be very happy to redo the tutorial.
