Any ideas why I got this build error?

    zorrocbr Community Member

I created an MPEG-2 Program file (wombleencorea.mpg)  in Womble- bit rate 6000 variable

I imported this as an asset into Encore CS5- Project was set as Blu-ray 720X480 29.976 fps

created one timeline (named untitled timeline) and put this asset on that timeline, no menus

did a test which came out fine.

Asset is listed as Don't Transcode- which is what I want

Went to build the image and after about a minute during the importing of the asset stage I got the following message:

Blu-Ray Object "untitled timeline", export file not found.

I thought maybe the file was too small so I copied the asset onto the timeline 2 more times to create a project of about 16 GB.

When I hit build it immediately started transcoding the audio (consistent with other projects) but then while

Importing_BPGC_track_ctrk_1_audio.ac3         I got the same "untitled timeline" export file not found message.

          Hi Zorro,

The first thing that makes me confused is your movie bitrate.

Ok for size and framerate but 6000 is very low.

          Usually I work with 25000 or 28000.

          Hope this helps.

          Ciao

Turns out that Encore didn't like the source file.  I also had audio sync issues.  I started to break the original file down in Womble into each edited point and then export that file to determine which specific part of the asset it didn't like and also to solve the sync issues.  Then I played a hunch and simply imported the whole Womble file (the same file I had originally imported into Encore) into TMP (project set to Blu-ray), set the project to no menus and set it so it would not transcode.  I then imported this file into Encore and all the problems were solved- No audio sync issues and the file burned properly.  Weird that the same file would be interpreted so differently in two different programs.
