The X is caused by a third party plugin which is running in Demo Mode. As the requirements for this template state Cycore FX is needed, it's probably one of them.
Have you installed the Cycore HD plugins without registering them?
That sounds likely. I realized the need for the plug in and I found it and installed it. I am certain I did not register it. This might make me sound like and idiot, but how do I register it? I found the "plug ins" folder and it is in there, yet I found no link to register it. Thank you kindly for your time and response.
Uninstall the Cycore HD demo. The standard Cycore FX plugins are included free with After Effects when it is installed and activated.
Thanks Andrew, it appears that when I uninstall the project becomes unusable. It appears that this is a plug in that I will have to purchase and it appears that it is $299. Bummer. LOL
It appears that it would be cheaper for me to have the original author of the template make the edits.
Again, thanks for your help. Unless there is a better/cheaper solution, then this issue is likely solved.
