1. Re: Bridge CS5 Collection is seeing deleted items
Omke Oudeman Apr 5, 2011 12:36 PM (in response to Jd_Johnson8)I now want to create some contact sheets from a collection using the images
from these folders now that i have eliminated the duplicate images/multiple
exposures that i don't need anymore.
For that you only need to select the new files in the content window, choose
new collection and after this from other folders repeat it, just as the
first time you created that files. If that is not possible then there is
something wrong with your install.
Assuming with eliminating duplicates etc you have done so in the content
window for the original folders and not from the collection content window
itself? You should be careful with that because removing from collection by
using the button top right of the collection content window does remove the
files from the collection but not from the disk, however the normal way to
delete is using the backspace and when in the collection window that is
deleting also the original file without warning from your disk!
however, i had previously created a
collection using these folders, and the collection is still seeing all of
those items that have been deleted.
This indicates also you have a problem with your Bridge install. Normally
deleting files from the folders the also delete from the collection, be sure
you have deleted them to the trash, if you have put them in an other folder
the collection keeps track of the new location.
i have deleted the collection and tried
recreating it to no avail... i am not sure how this is possible,
As said above, that should not be a problem, if so first aid for Bridge is
restart it while holding down option key and from the pop up menu choose
reset preferences. Try again and if it works set the prefs again to your
wishes.
