    SharePoint and PDF integration problem


      I have a content type that uses a PDF as the document template. When I try to create new items of this content type by selecting it from the New button of the document library, Acrobat Reader does not open. There is no error messages - just nothing happened. If I upload a PDF to the library, then clicking on the "Edit item in..." link on the item's ECB works fine.


      I have performed the steps under the "Update DocIcon.xml" and "Allow HTTP methods in IIS 7 or later" sections of this link: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/869/cpsid_86901.html (for my SharePoint site, the WebDAVModule was not there anyway).


      On the server: MOSS 2007 running on Server 2008.


      On the client: IE 8 (32 bits), Windows 7 with Acrobat Reader 10.0 installed. Microsoft Office 2010 is also installed.


      Please help! (perhaps there's something wrong with the Adobe ActiveX control?)
