I'm recording interlaced footage that shows a lot of combing.

Deinterlacing the footage solves that problem, but I'm worried about loosing picture quality.

Am I right in thinking that when you choose the "Use maximum render quality" option, that the deinterlacing doesn't result in loss of picture quality?

Also.... I have already rendered many clips to progressive, thinking they were progressive and putting that in the import settings. However they were acually interlaced.

So do the import settings effect how the clips are deinterlaced at all? And will not specifying 'interlaced' at import have effected my export quality?

Thank you very much for your time.
