1. Re: Hot spot area in a Quiz Question
Vikranth p vivek Apr 7, 2011 12:00 AM (in response to KGTS)Hi,
If you click only on the 5th hotspot, then the question is treated as answered correctly and you are awarded points.
If you click on any of the other hotspots, then the question is treated as answered incorrectly and points are not awarded.
Regards,
Vikranth.

2. Re: Hot spot area in a Quiz Question
KGTS Apr 7, 2011 7:51 AM (in response to Vikranth p vivek)Good morning,
That's the weird part.... If I click only on the 5th Hot Spot (as you say), the
question is still treated as answered incorrectly and no points are awarded...
(same with the other 4 Hot spots).
Why?
I am not clicking them all at once.
Thank you

Vikranth p vivek Apr 11, 2011 12:04 AM (in response to KGTS)Hi,
I could not reproduce this issue with the new project.
Would it be possible for you to share the project which has the issue?
Thanks,
Vikranth.

4. Re: Hot spot area in a Quiz Question
KGTS Apr 11, 2011 8:06 AM (in response to Vikranth p vivek)Good morning,
do you think that the issue is somehow local to my PC?
I am able to reproduce the issue with the new project, the old project, and
another project that I've developed over the weekend.
If you think that the issue is local, can you recommend what I should check and
troubleshoot to try and resolve the issue?
Thank you

5. Re: Hot spot area in a Quiz Question
RodWard Apr 11, 2011 8:12 AM (in response to KGTS)You could try clearing your cache via the Clear Cache button in Preferences.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you could also try deleting the folder where Captivate 5 stores Preferences data for your user profile.
Since you are on Xp this folder is located at: C:\Documents and Settings\<USER NAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe\Captivate 5
Just close down Captivate, find the Captivate 5 folder at the location shown above for yor system, and delete it. You don't need to worry because Captivate builds another one next time you start it. Sometimes this seemingly radical step has solved some wierd behavioural issues. It might solve your issue with the Hot Spot question.
