    Quicktime Rendering Woes: Bitmap Degradation

    peterbilt_47

      Greetings-

I am editing videos that are output as 720 x 480 Quicktime movies for display on the web.  The project involves placing bitmaps on the timeline to overlay the video footage.

Problem is, there's a huge amount of degradation of image quality between Premiere and the final Quicktime file.  You can see it here, along with the export settings I'm using:

I'm doing the work on a recent 17" MacBook Pro, 2.53GHz dual core, with an Intel HD Graphics video card built-in, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M via PCIe bus.  I have heard of video cards and even PCIe buses being limiting factors, but don't know why they would be in this case.  I'm grasping at straws.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to maintain the crispness of the original bitmap in the exported Quicktime, or am I just stuck with the loss of quality?

      Thanks in advance- Chris McCamic
