    Recording in Captivate crashes

      After recording in Captivate 4 the software crashes - the error is : Adobe Captivate has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenienience. This happens wether it is one slide or many slides and for all my Adobe projects.


      Please help.

          You could try to delete the Preferences file, that perhaps has become corrupt. This is a file with name Captivate_v40.dat that you will find in your profile under AppData\Adobe\Captivate. Where this file is situated depends on your OS. You can delete this file, with CP closed and a fresh one will be created on restarting Cp.


          This could help, but I cannot assure you it will.
