So I am a student at my high school but I have major influence in the purchasing of studio equipment. We do live broadcasts every morning and occasionally throughout the day. Our current system is running into minor technical flaws that nobody can explain or nobody knows how to fix it because the studio was designed by someone and they didn’t include a manual on what to do if something goes wrong. So my question is; can Premiere do live video streaming at decent/production quality?
More in depth: our current system includes two cameras, and optional third and then avid express with broadcasting capabilities and then all of that connects to the switcher along with the graphics computer. I would prefer to have adobe products simply because I feel that they work better than the avid.
Thank you for taking the time to read and comment to my question.
Premiere Pro is a video editing application, not a streaming facility. It outputs only to file, not a stream.
It's worth looking at Abode's Flash Media Server and Media Live Encoder 3.
