Adobe Extension Manager CS5 wont work on Windows 7 Pro x64 only on XP Mode in Virtual PC

    radama1

I am on Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system on HP ProBook 4720s with XPMode in Virtual PC activated
I run Adobe Extension Manager CS5.exe as Admin and the log files has only 3 lines

      [DEBUG]  Sat Apr 16 10:33:53 2011  (d:\extensionmanager_5.0.1_win\20110110.5_0_1.334\trelo\source\manage  r\win\owlmain.cpp,941) -OWL environment initializd OK

I noticed that the drive d: doesn't exist on my computer; there was only Local Disk (C:) and HP_TOOLS (F:)
I  have installed Adobe Creative Suite CS5 in Windows XP Mode in Virtual  PC and Adobe Extension Manager CS5 runs OK but I am in Windows XP pro  SP3 not in Windows 7 Professional x64

How do I make to run Adobe Creative Suite CS5 correctly in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit operating system

Your description is somewhat ambiguous. I want to know whether my understanding is correct: You installed CS5 applications (include Extension Manager) in Windows XP mode in virtual PC, then you run Extension Manager, it runs OK. But if you install CS5 applications directly on Win 7 Pro 64, then you run Extension Manager, it fails and output those log information. Is this what you mean?

            I have the same problem.

I installed Dreamweaver CS5 and Adobe Exchange Manager for CS5 too in my Lenovo 760p Windows 7 x64.

The extension not open and appear this errors in the log.

I tried to open the extension manager as Adminstrator and not open.

Please tell us what is the issue?

I bought all the webassist extensions but i can´t install for it.

            Best regards,

First I installed Creative Suite CS5 in Windows 7 Pro 64bit and when I run Extension Manager as Administrator nothing happens.

              see log with ExManLog.YES installed

Then I deactivate it in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and installed it in XP Mode in Virtual PC and when I run Extension Manager it's successfull.

I want to work in Windows 7 not in XP Mode which XP pro SP3

                Hi!

I have solved the problem partially by enabling Administrator user which is by default disabled in Windows 7.

After that I log in with the Administrator logon and Extension manager works.

Then I log off from Administrator logging in and log in as normal user (with administrator rights) and launch  Extension Manager and nothing happens.

I'm not satistied with the solution because because I would not want to connect as Administrator each time I want to use programs in Adobe Creative Suite CS5.

In my office I use Adobe Creative Suite CS5 with Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and Adobe Creative Suite CS5 works fine but with Windows 7  Pro x64 Extension Manager failed.

                Best regards
