    fade in and fade out movie clip

    Hrvoje_hr

      ok, this is my first flash site ever, so please have pacience with me...

      Since I can't position my flash site the way I want, the only method i see fit to work out my problem is "fade in - fade out"... Here's the exact code for the first Movie Clip (from the total of 4):

      stop();

      import fl.transitions.Tween;
      import fl.transitions.TweenEvent;
      import fl.transitions.easing.*;

      var homeTween:Tween = new Tween(content_mc,"x",Regular.easeOut,content_mc.x,0,1,true);
      new Tween(bkgd_mc,"x",Regular.easeOut,bkgd_mc.x,0,1,true);

      about.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickSection);
      home.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickSection);
      portfolio.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickSection);
      contact.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickSection);
      function clickSection(evtObj:MouseEvent){
      //trace shows what's happening.. in the output window
      trace ("The "+evtObj.target.name+" button was clicked!")
      //go to the section clicked on...
      gotoAndStop(evtObj.target.name);

      The problem is, that the next Movie Clip "About" can be seen right next to the first one "home" (on the right side). If I were to make them all fade in from alpha "0" to "100" (when clicked on the menu button link) that would solve my problem...

      Is there a way just to add here:
      var homeTween:Tween = new Tween(content_mc,"x",Regular.easeOut,content_mc.x,0,1,true); something like "fade in from "alpha 0" to "alpha "100"???
