Well. The quickest way to can view the Language Reference LR doc for Flex/AS is from the Help menu in the FLEX Builder.
I find it very easy and fast to look up LR for classes or packages information.

And what if we use the Eclipse plug-in instead of FlexBuilder? Also, the help in Eclipse for Flex all seem to point to the web which kills points 1, 2, 4, and I'm not sure about 3. Every other languange I've every dealt with allows download of the docs. Why can't we simply download the docs?
If the Eclipse plugin is pointing to the website, then you really are out of luck.
The only solution I can think of is to install the FlexBuilder...
Bummer. It seems that loading Flex Builder at the same time as the Eclipse plugin doesn't work so well. I just don't understand why the docs are simply not part of the sdk download. It is with pretty much every other language. I guess I'll fill out a feature request.
