c.pfaffenbichler Apr 19, 2011 11:48 PM (in response to Howard Rudnick)Replaced prefs, didn't fix.
How did you do that – pressing command-alt-shift on starting Photoshop?
And have you performed the other usual trouble-shooting routines (3rd party plug-ins deactivation, system maintenance, font validation, etc.)?
I know there is another os update.
So how about that?
Does the issue arise right from the start or does it become evident after working some time?

Howard Rudnick Apr 20, 2011 10:06 PM (in response to Howard Rudnick)Redid prefs in both versions, have one plugin which I turned off, and that didn't change things. Real intermittent, can be working for a while and it will happen and then not for some time. These were both new installs. I did the font validation thing, which I hadn't heard of. IT people I work with advise not to update to 10.6.7, they've found problems, and are not doing the update in an ad agency, so I'll follow their advice on that. Weird that it occurs in both versions. Would be nice if a Adobe employee had some feedback, other than the guy that responded to me. Seems he's a professional responder. Had no issues on old computer using tiger and cs3. I've done a google search and come up with people with same problem and no solid solution.

How many cores does this mac pro have? Look in Hardware Overview in System Profiler.

Howard Rudnick Apr 21, 2011 5:03 PM (in response to jeharrisAdobePS)It's a quad core. ATI 5770 card. I'm following the brush lag discussion about cs5 also.

Howard Rudnick Apr 24, 2011 9:29 AM (in response to Howard Rudnick)Anything new? Lags without wacom input. Did same with mouse. Do the problems here apply to same issues with cs5, or are 3 and 4 dead issues? Seems the same to me.

7. Re: Brush lag in CS3 and CS4
Howard Rudnick Apr 25, 2011 9:42 AM (in response to jeharrisAdobePS)It is not the first brush stroke, it can be after a number of strokes, and not show up again for a while. Happens in 3 and 4.
