1. Re: Unable to open a pdf fill-in-file downloaded from a trusted website
~graffiti Apr 20, 2011 8:57 AM (in response to ElectricalContractor)Hard to say. Got a link to the file? How are you trying to download the file? What happens when you try? Are you sure it's a PDF? What version of Reader?

ElectricalContractor Apr 20, 2011 10:31 AM (in response to ~graffiti)I'm using the latest version of Adobe Reader. I attempted to download an income tax form from the NYS DRS website. I followed various links to get to the form which opened in Adobe within the latest version of Internet explorer. I attempted to print the document without success. I then saved the file to disk. The form is shown as a pdf file as saved. I exited the browser and started Adobe. I attempted to read the file directly into Adobe. The file could not be read and there was no immediate error response from Adobe. Finally Adobe displayed a message that it was not responding. I closed Adobe, then restarted and selected and opened a previously stored pdf catalog file (not a fill-in-form) and selectively printed several pages without difficulty. I ran adobe repair service deleted the tax form file, returned to the website downloaded a new file and experienced the same problem. Any ideas?
