MTSTUNER Apr 21, 2011 7:27 AM (in response to thersher)Are you sure it's not under Filter>Render>Clouds?

thersher Apr 21, 2011 7:29 AM (in response to MTSTUNER)Yes, I realize that is where it is supposed to be, but it's not there. I thought it was a standard filter, but it's not installed with my CS4. I thought I had it at one point, but then I upgraded my system to Windows 7, and now I realize it's not there.
Where can I go to download it?

MTSTUNER Apr 21, 2011 7:37 AM (in response to thersher)You might have to reinstall cs4 as it is a standard filter included with cs4.
If you have win 7 64, is it missing in both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions
of photoshop?
Are you missing any other filters?
You could check in:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Filters\Clouds
to see if the filter is actually there.

By default in CS4, options that aren't used regularly are hidden from you menu in order to save space in the drop down.
Not by default on any system I've ever seen.
Filter - Render - Clouds is part of the out-of-box installation for CS4, and everything is initially visible by default.
That said, it's possible the entry has been made invisible by a configuration change, so AcidicInk's advice on what to check/change was right on. It's too bad that wasn't the issue.

thersher Apr 21, 2011 3:31 PM (in response to Noel Carboni)A little smaller than yours. The created date must be the date I installed it on my Windows 7. It was previously installed on a 64bit Vista machine, and it worked there, because I do remember using it for a project. Interesting how it doesn't show the PS icon, but neither do the other filters, and they all show up in the menu.

Noel Carboni Apr 21, 2011 3:42 PM (in response to thersher)Different is not good.
Have you got your Photoshop updated to 11.0.2? I doubt that's it but I should ask.
What I think has REALLY happened is that somehow you've overwritten your 64 bit plug-in with the 32 bit version, which will not work. Further, I think you did it on March 11th, as both the Created and Modified dates are set by Photoshop's installer.Edit: I just checked... The info you listed does match my 32 bit plug-in.
I'd look closely at all the file dates in that folder if I were you.
Reinstalling Photoshop should fix it, unless you have a copy of just that plug-in from another installation (or can get a copy from someone).
