Spark List with Image & Text layout

      Hi Folks,

I need to create a List item renderer that would format typical RSS news feeds with a thumb-nail image in the top left corner, followed by a Story Title on the top line and to the right, followed by the lead-in text that wraps around the thumb-nail image. (see below).

I have been looking at various TLF examples and first, the whole thing seems to be relatively complicate.  Futhermore, it is not obvious, how to do this with data binding for each of the 3 pieces of data (image, title & text) from the list of the stories, without having to process wire it all up with functions for reading in and filtering the XML that holds the corresponding HTML.

One of the most discouraging aspects is all of this HTML mangling - which is mostly what has thus far kept me wrestling with Flex.

      Any ideas, suggestions and/or examples?

      Regards,

      VC
