    Graphics Card Help

    AC77AC77

I'm getting a new computer for use with after effects. Ive heard that adobe loves Nvida, but on dell.com the computer that im building only has options for ATI cards. I currently have picked an ATI Radeon HD 5450 1 GB. My question is, is it worth it to tell dell to not get me a graphics card, then seperatly order a slighty more expensive Nvida, or will after effects work fine with this ATI?

If it's just for AE, don't bother. It rarely uses OpenGL in a way that would be advantageous, so in the end it matters little what graphics card you have. AE will work just the same without OpenGL, it should recognize the ATI card, though.

Thank you, I almost never do computer gaming so the gaming performance of cards doesnt really matter. I just needed to know if adobe would work just the same with a comparable ATI card, so thanks a ton
