I'm just wondering if there is a way to speed up my current workflow, at the moment I work in after effects & sony vegas.
85% of my workflow is in ae I only use vegas to sync and split the clips (this speeds up my workflow) but the problem I have is i'll colour grade a clip or whatever in ae then export the clip ready for vegas & i'll have to do the same with 50 other clips, Is there a way where I can batch edit/export? I've looked into this and I can't see anything on youtube or google to help me so i'm just wondering if any of you guys know or have any suggestions.
Within After Effects, you can add as many compositions as you like to the render queue and then render and export them as a batch.
Or you can add as many compositions as you like to the encoding queue in Adobe Media Encoder and then render and export them as a batch.
See this page for an overview of rendering and exporting. That page has links to more detailed information about using the render queue and Adobe Media Encoder.
Todd's answer is good.
For batch "editing" -- if it's colour grading you're doing, using AE's Animation Presets (saving your effects for quick reference) would help out if you're not using them already. Here's a basic overview & how to http://www.5min.com/Video/How-to-use-Animation-Presets-in-After-Effects-115654979
