System info: Vista Home Premium, SP2, 64 bit, 4GB RAM.
Robohelp Version: 8.0.2.208
Other programs installed: Microsoft Office, MSSilverlight, MS visual Studio, McAfee Antivirus, Quick Time...
Sometimes info is saved, sometimes it is not. If I have multiple projects open, and make changes on them, not all the changes are 'saved' but if I only have one project open, the changes are saved.
This did not start happening until last week. Only thing different I did was put in some bookmarks on one page, I have since deleted those and i still have the issue.
I inherited the Robohelp project and don't know much about the backbones of Robohelp. I mostly make text edits.
Things I've tried:
--Restarted the computer (this usually fixes things)
--Shut down computer (usually fixes things if the restart doesn't)
--Ran Updates (it failed (encountered a problem)on a CS4 update--Adobe update for Flash CS4Pro 10.0.2)
--checked for broken links, said I had none.
--Tools/reports/unused files--there are a couple of unused projects, but I can't find them (looks like they have been deleted)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
The actual solution will make my week much easier!
Thanks!

Welcome to our community
Where is your project when you open it? Are you by chance opening RoboHelp, then navigating to a network location to open the project?
If so, try moving the project to your local C drive.

Thanks, but unfortunately the project is on the C drive already. This PC is the dedicated RH machine, the only thing i put on the network is the final product and I copy and paste that, so dev can grab it.

Go to Programs and Features and check that you can see RoboHelp 8.0.2 there. If it is not, post back.
Otherwise open one of the sample projects and see if that has the same problems. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left. Post back.

RH 8.0.2 is shown in the programs and features.
I don't have any sample projects. 😞
I did open a 2 older projects and they had the same issues.

What's the full version of RH? Your samples should be in a path something like this: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 9\RoboHTML\Samples\en_US\

My version of RH is 8.0.2.208
It looks like I do have 2 sample folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\Samples\en_US\CCC
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 8\RoboHTML\Samples\en_US\Web_Graphics
When I opened the sample projects, edited a couple of project files and saved them there was not a crash.
Does this mean there is something wrong with my project? If so, how do I repair it?

I just noticed that my project files are saved in a different directory:
C:\New Help Structure\DigiDo - Lite
Could this be the problem? and why did it just start last week?

If the sample projects do not crash, we now know the problem is not related to your installation of RoboHelp and has to be to do with one or more of your projects.
Have you tried moving one of them to a new folder with only alpha characters and no spaces?
Try that first.

Moving to a new folder didn't help either.

I seem to remember ages ago there was a problem with non-Admin users running RH. The solution was to grant your user Admin access, re-login and open RH, then remove Admin access and everything would be fine from then on.
I hadn't thought this was still an issue, but might be worth looking at.
