I want to render a 1080p footage but we noticed that the some of the original colors were lost in compression - how can we retain the original colours?
We are using a JVC HD Camera (GZ-HD620bu) to record at 1080p-60p.
We tried rendering at QuickTime-with the video codec set to H.264
Is this the best one or should I be using something else? There are so many options to pick.
We want a reasonable file size we can upload to YouTube ... the length of the video is about 10 min.
If it takes long to render I dont really mind - just want the best quality.
I suggest you simply look for "H.264 Gamma Shift" on Google et al. There are endless discussions on the matter and ways to resolve it. and in those places you will also find sufficient info on mastering compression, including the fact that from AE you should not use the QT H.264 but insrtead the native H.264 exporter.
