This may sound like a real newb question but what is the difference between 10.0.1 and 9.4.3. I have users who have 10.0.1 installed and others who have 9.4.3 and I am trying to understand the difference. Also are there service packs for adobe reader? I just updated end users who were using 9.4.3 to 9.4.4 and thats when I seen how many users were using 10.0.1 and I left them at 10.0.1. Is there a 10.0.2 due out soon? Any help would be appreciated.
The latest update is 10.0.3, released on 4/21. Select "Help > Check for Updates" to get the latest.
The most significant changes include the revamped user interface and the addition of protected mode. You'll find more information with a seach.
In addition to what George has said, Adobe Reader X version 10.0.3 is only for Mac platforms. For windows platforms, latest version is 10.0.1 only. So if you are using Windows, you should not see any updates to Reader X (10.0.1) as of now.
Also you can see all the Reader features at http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/features.html
From the feature dropdown, select "New features" to see what features are added to Reader X.
For Reader 9, the latest version is 9.4.4
Also in future you can visit the link http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ which will guide you about the latest update available for your product. You may even download these installers from above link to apply patch manually.
