Yes, I know that there's a script that lets you search for spesific layer, but this is a feature request for photoshop, this is why I wrote this in the feature request forum.

And as this functionality can already be achieved it might not get a high priority for the Photoshop team – but I could be wrong there.
And to add another piece of unsolicited advise: Collecting one’s most used Scripts in a Configurator Panel can improve the convenience of using Scripts without assigning and memorizing a lot of Shortcuts for those.
Sorry, I probably did not properly checked your mock-up – if you want the Layers Panel to hide all other Layers then that would indeed be a major change for the Layers Panel functionality.
But how do you intend to work on from there? Would the Panel switch back to »all-layers-view« once you select one (or more) of the search results automatically?
