    MMWIP folder: Purge regularly?

    RickEEE Community Member

The MMWIP folder is used by Contribute to store work in progress files. However, it appears that those copies remain in that folder forever, as I've recently noticed. I have files in there dating back to 2006. Have not noticed any performance issues, but seems like a good house keeping practice to reguarly purge old files.  Anyone else doing this?

I've done it without any issues. I just got rid of the old ones and kept the newer ones. We have around 25 posters so there's a chance they may still be working with the newer ones. But even with a site that has over 9000 pages, that folder never gets all that large and with our setup, it just sits on a development server and never goes to our live server. So I just ignore it for the most part.
