These are both features that are automatically programmed into any DVD or BluRay disc by Premiere Elements.
How are you creating your discs?
Are you applying menus and then going to Share/To Disc?
Yes, I applied menus (Marquee) and then went to Share/To Disc.
I have a Main Menu and a Scene Menu with multiple scenes. I would like to return to the Scene Menu at the end of each scene.
When I played the Disc on my DVD Player, it went directly into play and did not stop at the Main Menu. Also, it did not return to the Scene Menu at the end of each scene.
Are some menus set to Auto Play?
Did you create the disc using Share/To Disc?
If you browse the disc, do you see a VIDEO_TS folder?
Yes, I created a disc using Share/To Disc and it contains a VIEEO_TS folder.
From reading the online Help, I have concluded that part of my problem results from lack of "Stop Markers". I did not realize that I had to add them if I want to stop play at the end of a scene.
However, that does not explain why my Main Menu (Marque) does not appear to be working quite right.
I went back to my DVD Player with the Disc I created.
The Main Menu is indeed working correctly. However, on Marque, the indicator in front of "Play" and "Scenes" is so small, I was not seeing it and just proceeding directly into play the entire movie.
So, do I now need to add "Stop Markers" at the end of each scene?
If you want your DVD to return to the main menu after each scene, yes.
Do NOT place a stop marker at the very end of your timeline. PRE9 automatically treats the end as a stop and can crash if you manually put one there as well.
