policy file settings for RTMP ... desperate

    jcastelain Level 1

      Hi all,

I have a Flex client on http://www.mydomain.com, basically it connects to an RTMP server

loading a video and uses bitmapdata instances to draw the video on the stage.

      (on rtmp://mysubdomain.mydomain.com)

The problem I have is that I always get the famous SecurityError: Error #2123: Security sandbox violation:, each time I call BitmapData.draw

My RTMP server is on rtmp://mysubdomain.mydomain.com (also accessible via http://mysubdomain.mydomain.com)

I do load a crossdomain.xml file from there which allows access from *.mydomain.com

I would like to know if it is possible to acheive this?

Its not the first time I deal with crossdomain .xml files and loading assets from sub domain, but with RTMP it is.

      Thanks in advance

PS:  just my two cents, but this "editor" is not really what i would call "user friendly"
