Make sure you have selected the collect files and copy to new location option.
Please tell us:
What kind of media are you using in your project?
Which are you using -- the Trim or Copy function?
Are you updated to 5.0.3?
Was there a solution to this problem?
I'm having the same experience on a new iMac. I start Project Manger to backing up my project, it writes the folder, most of the files -- then it reports the error and wipes the folder clean -- no files.
I'm using the copy function, and running CS 5.5.
I don't have a solution yet. When I couldn't make Project Manager work, I just dragged and dropped my whole project file onto my archive drive. Next time I need to archive a project, I'll see if any of the advice I received on the forum helps. If it does, I'll let you know.
Thanks for the reply. I clicked off a few selections on the dialogue box
right after I sent my query and this time the backup worked.
I was under the impression that Premiere scattered certain files into
system or app folders, and that not everything was in the project
folder. Am I mistaken?
If so, you're right, I'll just drag the whole folder.
