    5.5 no rewire?

    therayman Community Member

I have just tried 5.5 and find that certainly in the demo version there doesn't appear to be any rewire. If it is in there somewhere it’s certainly well hidden. Does anyone know if the licensed version has it? It would render it marginally useless for me if this is the case as I compose all my soundtracks in Reason.

After a little searching I discovered that NO there is no rewire or even MIDI! Its not for creating music at all.

Adobe definitely doesn't do itself any favours. This cut down version of what was originally a good piece of software doesn't fly at all. What a waste of time...

            I don't agree with you.

Audition focusses mainly on audio work for video and film. And I appreciate it concentrating on that.

There are enough other apps on the market for music production. I use Samplitude for composing soundtracks. Audition will be my new first choice for all the audio work within my premiere projects.

But I do agree with you regarding rewire: It would be an excellent opportunity to synchronize premiere and audition with rewire.

My main point is that it was a very good product before Adobe took it over.

It has degraded ever since. I use Digital Performer because Audition 3 was

too unreliable. It can handle adjustments to soundtrack but so do many other

tools. Nothing integrates audio within the suite. As an independent film

maker I need a third party product to do that properly. If I was using the

Apple suite I wouldn't need to do that and I'm leaning more in that

              direction.
