I test your function and its ok. Maybe you didnt set height and width of your Canvas or in your Canvas is no object -> Canvas has height and width set to zero = its invisible
What happens if you call "this.graphics.clear()" before your loop but after the call to super?
BTW: if you're not chaing the line style each iteration then you should pull it out of the loop (just a perf thing).
code "this.graphics.clear()" will delete what you drew last time, when function updateDisplayList was called.

I tried the this.graphics.clear(), no difference. What is happening is the background of the Canvas is being drawn on top of the lines I draw it appears. I set the backgroundAlpha of the Canvas to .5 and I can see my lines underneath. Which doesn't make any sense because I call the super.updateDisplayList before I do my drawing.
