I shot some 60p footate @ 1280x720 with my digital SLR.
I'd like to know how to correctly set up a sequence for this type of footage, and how to slow it down correctly.
Am I supposed to do something special to the settings for this sequence ? or is it simply a matter of
creating a 60p sequnce, loading the file onto the time line, and then slowing down the footage to what I want
with the "speed / duration" command ? or is it more complicated than that ?
Make sure that the sequence matches your footage exactly, so 60p footage in a 60p sequence. Then create slomo's using speed/duration or time remapping.
Just decide what your editing frame rate will be--for example, 24p or 30p--and then use the Interpret Footage command on your source clip. Set the frame rate of the clip to match the frame rate of the sequence. The clip will play back with really smooth slow motion and no unnecessary frame blending or interpolation.
