um, there's no such thing as photoshop cs5.5 only photoshop cs5.eta: and there's no such thing as encore cs5.5 either, for that matter. they just updated encore with minor fixes from cs5 to cs5.1.

4. Re: Encore CS5.5 loads Photoshop CS5
E Baldwin May 12, 2011 4:47 AM (in response to Jeff Bellune)I have both Production Premium CS5 and CS5.5 installed. PS CS5 is v12.0.4 x64 and PS CS5.1 is v12.1 x64. Encore CS5.1 v5.1.0.342 loads PS CS5 v12.0.4 when "Edit menu in Photoshop" is selected on the toolbar. What can I change in Encore or elsewhere, so Encore will call PS CS5.1 v5.1.0.342? I can load PS CS5.1 v12.1 prior to issuing the "Edit menu in Photoshop" but I prefer to change the default. Ed

Jeff Bellune May 12, 2011 5:58 AM (in response to E Baldwin)What version opens when you double-click a PSD file from Windows Explorer? If it's 12.0.4 then you can probably fix this by changing the file association in Windows.

The file association in windows was set to PS 12.0.4. I am surprised it did not get updated with the rest of the CS5 PP apps. Changing it solved the problem. Many thanks.
