I am creating full flash training that requires each swf to
function separately simply by double-clicking the swf file. I am
using classes and xml to control functionality.
I use the xml to determine what type of interactivity is on
the page. This works seemlessly inside the lessons because I have a
node that tells the code which file comes first. When the swf's are
used separately, I need the file name of the swf that has been
opened so I can parse the string and retrieve the id. The id is
part of the page object name which controls page functionality.
I have researched extensively and have been unable to find a
way to do this from inside the swf. Any ideas or answers?
I am using Flash 8 with Actionscript 2.0. I have looked into
using ExternalInterface, flash.net.FileReference, System, Security,
etc... None are really applicable. Is it even possible to be
reference the name of the open file in the flashplayer?
