This forum is for the Adobe FormsCentral which is a service that allows you to create, collect and analyze data using an online web form. You should ask PDF related form questions in the Acrobat forums:http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/acrobat_scripting
I'll move your post to that forum so you don't need to retype it. They can help you out...
Is the form set up to submit to a web server or via email?
// Show a message to the user app.alert("Your message goes here.", 3);
More information on the app.alert method is available here: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.135.html
Thanks Randy.. Much appreciated.
Thanks George, the message appears :-)
but it comes up in a "Warning - Java Script Message" window... is there any way to change the text on that heading?
really appreciate your help..
also, is it possible to set a different message depending on whether the client chooses
desktop or internet based mail?
my reasoning is if they choose internet based mail they will have to save it and manually attach to their web based mail account to send back to us.
There is no way to know which option they chose, so your message should be tailored to account for that. Note that they can also cancel, so you may want to word it to account for this as well.
I forgot to add that you specify a title using the cTitle parameter, as documented in the link provided earlier.
Thanks a lot for your help with this
